HOOPS, Virginia D. - age 78, of Gaines, was called to Glory Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at her residence. Services will be held 3 PM Friday, March 27, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Jim Aydelotte officiating. Visitation will be held 12 PM - 3 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. Mrs. Hoops was born May 17, 1936 in Pikeville, KY, the daughter of Willie and Callie (Fuller) Harrison. She married Edgar Hoops in 1956 and he preceded her in death in 2006. Surviving are: five sons, Terry (Kathy) Hoops of Colorado Springs, CO, William Hoops of Gaines, Duane (Debbie) Hoops of Holland, Ronald (Audrey) Hoops of Grant, Thomas Hoops of Toledo, OH; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 9 siblings, Sue Dotson of Grundy, VA, Della Kendrick of Durand, Carolyn Harrison of Bean Station, TN, Linda Catron of Bean Station, TN, Larry Harrison of Newport, TN, Ronnie Harrison of Rogersville, TN, Gary Harrison of Moorseburg, TN, David Harrison of Moorseburg, TN, Billy Harrison of Moorseburg, TN.
