Virginia Hogan

HOGAN, Virginia M. - Age 98, of Linden, died April 27, 2014. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, May 1, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be held 11-2 PM & 4-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden with a rosary at 7:30 PM and from 10 AM until the time of Mass Thursday at church. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. John GIFT Campaign or American Cancer Society. Virginia was born May 17, 1915 in Detroit. She was married to James Carl Hogan who preceded her in death in 1976. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist, LOOSE Senior Center, St. Michael's Guild, Second Tuesday Club and Jolly Mixer Dance Club. Surviving are: children, Carol Green of Fenton, Dan (Ann) Hogan of Sebring, FL, Kathy (Jerry) Lyles of Linden; grandchildren, Debbie (Larry) Abbey, Terri (Oliver) Hackney, Jim Green, Tim Hogan, Jeff Hogan, Steve Lyles, Scott (Melissa) Lyles; great-grandchildren, Rachel (Jason) Cotton, Joe (Candace) Abbey, Ryan, Jonathan and Drew Hackney, Chloe and Chad Hogan, Matthew, Joshua and Brooke Lyles; great great-grandchildren, Kyler, Brady and Ayden Cotton, Fenner and Olivia Jane Abbey, Ryan "R.J." Hackney. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Green in 2007; son-in-law, Bill Green in 2013; brother, Jack Adams in 2013.
