Virginia was a life long resident of Gaines and graduated with 12 classmates from Gaines High School in 1942. She attended General Motors Institute of Technology and retired after 37 years from General Motors where she worked in Payroll.
Somewhere along the way after retirement in 1980, she took the nickname of "Ginny" which more reflected her love of fun, laughter and people. She easily made many friends and probably a couple of enemies, "but who counts them?" she was fond of saying.
Besides loving music and the song "I Did It My Way", Ginny loved the outdoors. She was a skater, a skier, a boater and a hunter. She fished and was proud of 3 sailfish caught in Mexico. She worked in the garden and yard, always producing beautiful flowers.
Ginny and her mother Ella were blessed to spend their winters together in Florida and their summers in Michigan. The summers were divided between their Gaines home and a pretty little cottage on East Twin Lake in Lewiston.
She is survived by Wayne Chase and his children, Karen May and husband Leroy and their children, Francis X. Frappier, Jr. and wife Kathy and their children; her helper Diane; as well as many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Xavia Frappier in 1942 at age 57; her mother, Ella Minnie (Markley) in 1992 at nearly 106 years; her brother, Francis Xavia Frappier in 1993; her niece, Ruthella Chase in 2008 at age 67; and a very dear and special friend, James H. Brewer, Sr. in 2002. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
