July 20, 1923 — February 24, 2010

ARCHER, Virginia Helen - age 86, of Lennon, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel with Pastor Wayne Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to a charity of one's choice. Ms. Archer was born July 20, 1923 in Dardanelle, AR, the daughter of Jessie Lee and Dora (Campbell) Rector. Virginia retired from the Flint Board of Education in 1988 after 32 years of service. She also worked at Flint Area School Employees Credit Union for many years. Surviving are: special friends, Bob and Elaine White, Bill Venable, Chris, Michelle, Kristen, and Skyler Pierce; Mary Lou Kingsbury, and Nancy Julian. Special thank you to Dr. Kantoneni.
