ALLMAND, Virginia Mae, age 89, of Linden, died March 13, 2005 at her home. Funeral service will be 11AM Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Hartland United Methodist Church, 10300 Maple, Hartland. Rev. David Strobe officiating. Interment in Hartland Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held 2-4PM & 6-8PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton. Memorial contributions may be made to Hartland United Methodist Church. Virginia was born October 6, 1915 in Fowlerville, the daughter of Pierson W.and Julia M.(Ackley) Sidell. She married Roland M. Allmand on November 4, 1939 in Fowlerville and they lived in Hartland, then later moved to Linden. Virginia was the Township Treasurer of Hartland for 15 years, and a member of Hartland United Methodist Church. Virginia loved to garden in her flower beds, enjoying all types of flowers. She was a loving Grandmother and a good Christian. Surviving are her 4 children; Pierson and wife Penny Allmand of Fenton, Paul Allmand of Fenton, Dean and wife Patricia Allmand of Lapeer, Maureen Potter of Linden; 5 grandchildren, Kimberly Allmand of Gregory, Richard and wife Tami Allmand of Byron, Joel and wife Roxanne Allmand of Bancroft, Melissa and husband Greg Bird of Mason, James Potter of TN; 7 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Graydon and wife Donna Allmand of Hartland; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Roland, parents, sisters, Lola Bell Lillard and Viola Kane; grandsons, Wesley Allmand and Kevin Allmand; daughter-in-law, Louise Allmand.
