Virginia Ackerman

ACKERMAN, Virginia Lea "Gynnie" - Age 73, of Parma, died Sunday, December 27, 2020.  A private family service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (Live Streaming of the service can be viewed on Gynnie's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Gynnie was born September 10, 1947 in Flint, the daughter of Joseph F. and Dorothy A. (Welch) Tietz.  She had resided in Parma for the past couple of years coming from the Flint area and Empire.  She retired in 2000 from Lake Fenton Community School as a cook and custodian.  She enjoyed sewing, crafts, bowling, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a member of the Fenton Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries #2460.

Surviving are: her children, John (Laurie) Stuart of Lake, Edward (Amy) Stuart of Parma, Sonya (Tony) Brown of Lake, Jacob (Jessica) Ackerman of Elwell, and Amanda (Rory) Huddas of Marysville; grandchildren, Alex, Zachery, Kyle (Abby), Corrine (Patrick), Katelyn, Jacob, Jorja, Brody, Carson, Juliana, Tyler, Aaron, and Emily.
