SPICKO-DUNJAK, Violet Teresa - Age 87, of Linden formerly of Flint, died Saturday, April 29, 2017. Private services will be held at a later date. "Life is what you make it". Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of your choice. Violet was born March 25, 1930 in Flint, the daughter of Edward and Florence (Szatkiewski) Starks. She was a 1948 graduate of All Saints Catholic High School and received an Associate Degree from Mott Community College. She married John Spicko and he preceded her in death, she then married Stephen Dunjak and he also preceded her death. She retired from the Flint Public Schools as a Paraprofessional. Violet was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She also was a member of the daughter's of Isabella, Croatian Slovene Club, McLaren Auxiliary, St. Matthew Mother's Club, Powers Mother's Club, and was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Surviving are: her children, Stephanie (Dan) Resky of Spruce, Constance (Tom) Scott of Boca Raton, FL, and John (Jodie) Spicko of Davison; grandchildren, Lindsay (Mark) Schwalbach, Paul (Angela) Resky, Jordyn (Justin) Hovis, Jaime Spicko, and Jennifer Boyer; five great grandchildren; sister, Judith Crawford of Bloomfield Hills; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Wanda Pulinski; and sister and brother-in-law, Cecilia and Jim Marshall.
