Violet Marcella RICHARDSON

RICHARDSON, Violet Marcella - Age 86, of Swartz Creek, she took the hand of her Lord and went to her heavenly home, Friday, April 8, 2011 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 5-8 PM and Monday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hospice Care Center. Mrs. Richardson was born May 28, 1924 in Newberry, the daughter of Raymond and Marie (Demerett) Galant. She married Charles H. Richardson February 10, 1940 in Grand Blanc and he preceded her in death August 2003. Surviving are: 5 children, Ramona and husband Raymond Kovalcik of Vassar, Allen Richardson of Burton, Charles and wife Valorie Richardson of Swartz Creek, Todd and wife Susan Richardson of Davison and Troy and wife Char Richardson of Serierville, TN; 33 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; sister, Velma Lehman of Burton; brother, Maurice Galant of Flint; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Christine Wineman and Mary Lou Ebel. Mrs. Richardson was a mentor to her children and grandchildren and wanted all of them to be saved before she joined her savior. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Durand Senior Care and Genesys Hospice for the excellent care given to their mother.
