Viola Ann Wright

WRIGHT, Viola Ann - age 100, of Englewood, FL, formerly of Waterford, MI, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 2, 2025 into the arms of Jesus. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Monday, January 13, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Jason Powers officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial will be immediately following at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.

Viola was born September 8, 1924 in Washington, PA the daughter of George and Bertha (Wrobel) Mazur. She married Edward Cecil Wright on June 29, 1946 in Detroit and he preceded her in death on October 23, 2013. Viola resided full time in Englewood, FL since 2007, but had wintered there since 1987 and summered in Pierson, MI. She was a member of the Drayton Plains United Presbyterian Church. Viola's greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver. She loved polka music, square dancing, riding her bicycle, watching game shows, playing bingo, playing cards, especially "Golf", making it a family tradition.

Surviving are her two children, Wayne (Linda) Wright of Kent City and Patricia (Paul) Odham of Apopka, FL.; 4 grandchildren, Tricia Chapman, Kevin (Rachael) Wright, Andrea (Nick) Pritchard, and Jessica (Jason) Powers; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild, Cade. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Jenny (Wilbur) Richmond and Helen (John) Twardy.
