PERSIA, Vincent E., age 89 of Fenton, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Genesys Health Park. Mr. Persia was born in Fancher, New York on July 22, 1915. He married Eileen Nolan in Detroit in 1938. He was a resident of Southfield for many years and worked for the Vickers Corporation for 38 years, retiring in 1973. He had owned and operated Dox Automotive in Detroit for several years and currently owns the Metal Building Sales Co. Of Fenton. He enjoyed hunting and outdoor activities.Mr. Persia attended the Cross of The Woods Church in Indian River and St. John Catholic Church in Fenton. Surviving is his beloved wife, Eileen; 2 daughters; Sharon and husband, the Honorable John J. McDonald of Farmington Hills, Christine and husband Martin of Fenton. There are 5 grandchildren; Michael McDonald, Patrick (P J) McDonald, Julie and husband Jeff Wardlow, Kara Covert and Kathryn (K C) Covert. Also surviving are 3 great-grandchildren Sam, Joe and Sally and 1 sister, Cleda DAndrea. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 12, 2005 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 S. Adelaide St. In Fenton. Rev. Fr. David Harvey will officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Sharp Funeral Home Fenton Chapel from 1 to 8 P.M. Friday with a Scripture service to be prayed at 4:30 P.M. Mr. Persia will be taken to the church on Saturday at 9:00 A.M.
