Victor Merle WRIGHT

WRIGHT, Victor Merle, age 84, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012, in Boynton Beach, Florida. He was born in Flint on January 15, 1928, the son of Roy and Ina Wright. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Loraine (Miller) in 2009. Those who love him include his 3 children: Douglas Wright of Ionia, Vicki (George) Catsimpiris of Boca Raton, Florida, and Donald (Diane) Wright of Chelsea. He enjoyed incredibly special life-long relationships with his adored grandchildren: Daryl Wright of Cleveland, Ohio, Bradley Wright of Chelsea, Benny Wright of Lake Worth, Florida, Jennifer (Nick) Vetter of Chelsea, Peter Catsimpiris of Boca Raton, Florida, Joyce Catsimpiris who is serving in the United States Peace Corps in Mongolia, and his great-granddaughter, Kennedy Wright. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Dale, Dennis, Donna, and Janet, and numerous cherished nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his siblings: Walter and Delores. Raised in Flushing, he served in the Merchant Marine and the United States Navy. The Wrights resided in Swartz Creek for 30 years and he retired from V-8 Engine Machine Repair in 1988. After retirement, he and his wife relocated to Florida where he enjoyed golf, bowling, and numerous hobbies, as well as his many friends, grandchildren, and his dog. Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Sharp Funeral Homes, 8138 Miler Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM.
