Vicky Wykes

WYKES, Vicky Sue (Smith) - Age 67, of Flint Township, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021. Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Funeral service will be live streamed on Vicky's obituary page found at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Interment will follow in Byron Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 PM to 8 PM Monday and again 10 AM until the time of service Tuesday.

Vicky was born on September 19, 1954 in Flint the daughter of Charles and Ellen (Dear) Smith. She graduated from Linden High School. Vicky worked as a Tax Manager for H&R Block. She and Lee Wykes were united in marriage on August 4, 1973. Sadly he preceded her in death in 2001. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Bunco, Red Hats Society, and Frankenmuth luncheons.  She was an active member of The Way Sabbath Fellowship and Bible Family Fellowship.

Family isn't always blood. It's the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones that would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what. Family is not defined by your genes, it is built and maintained through love.  She was known to so many who loved her as simply "Grandma Vicky."

She is survived by her 2 sons, Matthew (Terri) Wykes and Michael (Kimberly) Wykes; 6 grandchildren, Caitlin, Connor, Colin, Corinne, Aubrey and Olivia; 2 sisters, Pauline (Jim) Bishop and Julianne (Paul) Muterspaugh; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
