Veronica Marie Seibel

SEIBEL, Veronica Marie (Lindstrom) - age 44 of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Hurley Medical Center after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, November 20, 2009 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Fr. Steven Mattson officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Tuesday and Wednesday and 2-9 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a vigil service will be held at 7 PM Thursday evening. She has lived in Swartz Creek since 1968. Veronica was born on August 5, 1965 in Norfolk, VA, one of three children to Richard and Patricia Lindstrom. She graduated from St. Mary's Grammar School and Swartz Creek High School. She also graduated with an Associates Degree in Nursing from Mott Community College with high honors. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church and was a volunteer for Durand / Vernon Ambulance, Swartz Creek Park Board and Camp 911 for Swartz Creek Police Department. Veronica was a Registered Nurse at Genesys Hospital until her illness. Veronica is survived by: her husband, John; her children, Jacob Neering, Austin, Hayley and Emily Seibel; sister, Jennifer (Brian) Brown and nephew, Joshua of Cohoctah, MI; step-brother, Daniel Lindstrom of FL; She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Veronica was preceded in death by: her parents, Richard and Patricia (Zatecky) Lindstrom; brother, Richard "Ricky", her infant son, Lucas; her daughter, Janelle Neering.
