Vernon E. BRYANT

BRYANT, Vernon E. "Red" - age 88, of Grand Blanc, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, February 23, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Genesys Hospice. Red was born February 5, 1921 in Beech Grove, AR, the son of Jake Alvin and Dora Della (Amarine) Bryant. He married Juanita Lueallen on October 18, 1941. Red attended of Bentley Wesleyan Church and retired from General Motors as a blacksmith. Surviving are: wife, Juanita; son, Jerry Bryant and wife, Angela of FL; daughter, Theresa and husband, Devon Platz of Burton; two grandchildren, Terry Bryant and Nina Platz; four great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Ivey; half-brothers, Jimmy, Delbert and June.
