WILEY, Verna Jean (Greene) - Age 88, of Flint Township, died Saturday, November 30, 2013. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December5, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Mr. Rod Greene officiating. Burial in Gracelawn Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 3-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan (fbem.org). Mrs. Wiley was born July 4, 1925 in Barre, Ontario, Canada. She was a graduate of Dye High School. She married Morris L. Wiley July 1945 in Flint and he preceded her in death March 6, 1987. Mrs. Wiley was a member of West Flint Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are: 2 children, Lee and wife Ann Wiley of Harrison and Lenora Faust of Swartz Creek; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter; brother, Rod and wife Carman Greene of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 children, Lola Subora and Larry Wiley; 1 grandchild; 1 great grandchild; brother, Glen Greene; and 2 sisters, Doris Fisher and Joyce Parr.
