Verna O. Dietsch

Dietsch, Verna O. - Age 99 of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Heritage Manor.  Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday November 8, 2007 at Marion County Cemetery Marion, OH.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Leader Dogs for the Blind, Memorial Dept., P.O. Box 5000, Rochester, MI  48308-5000.  Mrs. Dietsch was born July 8, 1908 in Marion, Ohio, the daughter of Frank Albert and Clara (Fatzler) Folk. She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in Marion, Ohio. She married Herman Frederick Dietsch on December 31, 1930 in Ohio, and he preceded her in death June 14, 1958. Since then, Mrs. Dietsch has lived in Flint most of her life, and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughter, Mary and husband Wayne Mandel of Swartz Creek; 5 grandchildren, George and wife Elise Ostrander, Thomas and wife Karen Green, Lennie Dean Dietsch, Melody Dietsch, Todd Dietsch; 5 great-grandchildren, Kayla Ostrander, Tori Ostrander, Alexys Green, Owen Green and Brandon Baller.
