Verda V. EMBURY

EMBURY, Verda V. - age 104, of Linden, died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Fenton Health Care. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, January 12, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden with Pastor Margo Kivistot officiating. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Linden Lions Club. Mrs. Embury was born June 16, 1904 in Deerfield Twp., the daughter of William and Maud (Smith) Abbey. She married Clifford Embury on June 20, 1925 and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1977. Mrs. Embury was a member of Argentine United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Embury resided in Linden all her life and was a cancer survivor. Surviving are: four grandchildren, Daniel and fiance, Julia, Tim and wife, Vanessa, Kimberley and husband, Terry, Eric and wife, Andrea; 12 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild, also survive. Her son, Abbey, also preceded her in death.
