Vera Laverne Nichols

NICHOLS, Vera Laverne (Risener)  Age 76, of Flint Twp., died Saturday, September 20, 2003 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Rev. Neal Pridgen officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Sunday, 2-5 & 7-9 PM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Corunna Road Baptist Church. Vera was born January 11, 1927 in Bald Knob, Arkansas and had lived in Flint for many years. Mrs. Nichols was a member of North Baptist Church and attended Corunna Road Baptist Church. She owned and operated Veras Place Beauty Shop. She had also been employed by Genesee Memorial for several years. Surviving are: husband, Ernest Nichols of Genesee; two children, Danny and wife Cathy Risener of Flint Twp., Ann and husband Mark Overton of Madison, IN; seven grandchildren, Dana, Danny II, William, T.J., Mark, Sheila and Tracy; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alvin and Jack; several nieces and nephews; step-children, Harold and wife Pam Nichols of Genesee, Frank Nichols of Pinconning, Mary and husband Charles Fuhr of Florida; special friend, Peggy; special care taker, Theresa.
