Vera Jean Jackson

JACKSON,  Vera Jean, age 78 of Grand Blanc, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Mclaren Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Jackson was born in Flint on December 9, 1928 the daughter of  Alexander and Mary (Karkowsky) Sugar.  She has resided in the area all her life.  She and Roy L. Jackson were married on October 24, 1952 and he preceded her in death on August 8, 2006.  Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and a devoted mother and grandmother.  Surviving are two sons:  Gary and Don Jackson; 2 grandaughters; Kenda Zetterstrom and Nicole Stellard and a great-grandson, Cooper Stellard. Also surviving are 2 sisters;  Marion VonLinsowe of Grand Blanc and Alice Lookword of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jackson was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Stellard.  Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 2, 2007 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Pastor Phil Jones of Berean Baptist Church will officiate and burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Friday and from 10 A.M. Saturday to service time.
