Vera Garoutte

Garoutte, Vera Patricia - age 97, died peacefully in her home on January 22, 2022.  Services have already been held. Interment was in White Chapel Cemetery.

Vera was born December 8, 1924, the daughter of Sidney and Edna (Loomis) Ballard.  She moved to Rose Twp. on 10 acres in 1972 to have a place for her horses.  In later years she worked at Joseph's Oak Shop in Holly, retiring at age 82.  She enjoyed Horseback riding, knitting and crafting.  She loved large family gatherings with her daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren, all of whom have been blessed with wonderful memories of her.

She is survived by: Daughters:  Marsha (Joe) Pfannes, Sydney (Chuck) Billips, Doreen (Wayne) Bryson. Grandchildren: Nancy (Ed) Renwick, Robert (Angie) Shanburn, Tabitha (Jonas) Fridriksson, Eric (Grace) Billips, Casey (Stephanie) Shanburn-Bryson, Todd Shanburn-Bryson. 13 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great, Great Grandchildren.

Vera was preceded in death by:  Bob Tompkins (husband), Bill Garoutte (husband), Dena Shanburn (daughter), Tammy Billips (granddaughter), Jacob Renwick (great grandson).
