SAYER, Velma Venita - Age 80, of Flint, died Sunday, February 4, 2007. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, February 8, 2006 at Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor J.D. Landis officiating. Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.  Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday.  Those desiring may make contributions to Swartz Creek United Methodist Church or Heartland Hospice. Velma was born in Paris, Texas January 25, 1927, the daughter of Walter and Dollie (Richards) Mitchell.  She was a graduate of Flint Central High School. She married John Sayer, Sr. on January 3, 1947 in Flint, and he preceded her in death in January 17, 2006. She retired from A.C. and worked for Dr. George Andrews, DDS for 10 years. She was a member of U.A.W. Local 651.  She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing bingo. She is survived by her son, John E., Jr. and wife Lee Sayer of Swartz Creek; 3 grandchildren, Kris and wife Susan Sayer, Paige and husband Jason Treichel, Kile Sayer and  Crystal; 7 great-grandchildren, Kameron, Keegan, Travis, Logan, Paiton, Jack, Josie; sister, Joyce MacArthur of Burton; mother, Dollie Aurand of Burton.
