Velma Marie Oswald

OSWALD, Velma Marie - Age 78, of Flint, died Friday, December 14, 2007 at Willowbrook Manor. Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, December 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor J.D. Landis officiating. Visitation 2-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Velma was born December 31, 1928 in Flint, the daughter of Otis C. and Florence (Raymond) Masters. She graduated from Dye High School in 1947 and has lived in Flint her entire life. She married Lester E. Oswald, Jr. August 16, 1947, and he preceded her in death August 26, 2000. Velma was a member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, and had been a member and volunteer of the Ostomy Group in Flint. She is survived by her 4 children, Brenda and husband, Jack Sanford of Cohoctah, Marcia Foster of Grand Blanc, Kathy and husband, Terry Dixon of Swartz Creek, Keith and wife, Brenda Oswald of Tennesee; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Colver of Wyoming, MI.
