Vella Primm

PRIMM, Vella Mae - age 92, of Davison, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at The Pines of Burton Memory Care. Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Maranatha Baptist Church, 3408 Miller Rd., Flint with Pastor Donald L. Albright, Jr. officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint and from 10 AM until 11 AM Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maranatha Baptist Church Awana Ministry. Mrs. Primm was born December 26, 1923 in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of Joseph Jacob and Lois Katherine (Niermann) Schible, Sr. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WW II in W.A.C. and then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. She married John L. Primm on August 31, 1950 at Langley Air Force Base and he preceded her in death on January 6, 1996. Mrs. Primm was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, worked at Rescue Mission in Flint & Child Evangelism (Past President of Auxiliary), and taught Sunday School and Awana for over 30 years. Surviving are: five children, Deborah (John) Rowden of Davison, Cynthia (Doug) Cross of Fenton, Kevin Primm of Wyoming, MI, Lois (Dusty) Harvey of Marana, AZ, Lori (Edward) Shoecraft of The Dalles, OR; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Schible of San Diego, CA; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; three brothers, Joseph, Ronald and Donald; and three sisters, Betty, Beverley and Georgianna.
