HEIL, Valeeta (Hudgens) - Age 84, of Fenton, formerly of Birmingham, died Monday, September 6, 2004 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-9 PM Wednesday and from 10 AM until the time of service Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Flint. Valeeta was born March 16, 1920 in Herrin, IL, the daughter of Robert F. and Dorothy (Baker) Hudgens. She was married to Robert Charles Heil on November 21, 1947 in Detroit. Mrs. Heil was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps (WAAC), serving at the Pentagon during WWII. She had lived in Fenton since 1999 and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Flint. She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham for 32 years, serving the Children's Ministry. Surviving are: husband, Robert; sons, Robert Charles, Jr. and fiancâ?se Kim Ebersberger of Chelsea, William Patrick (Theresa) of Rochester Hills, Brian Thomas (Cristine) of Fenton; eight grandchildren; brother, Robert Floyd II (Marjorie) Hudgens of Davenport, IA; sister, Billie Warneke of Walcott, IA; sisters-in-law, Betty Gerhart and Marjorie Cromar; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Irvin Hudgens; sister, Elta Ceperly.
