KUNKEL, Ursula - Age 84, of Flushing, was ushered into the presence of her Savior and King on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at North Baptist Church, 4004 Lennon Road, Flint. Pastor Darrell Foltz officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to North Baptist Church or Carriage Town Ministries. Ursula was born May 28, 1937 in Leipzig, Germany, the daughter of Friedrich and Gerda (Dobeling) Porsch. She married Erwin Kunkel November 21, 1964 in Bay City. She lived in Swartz Creek for 40 years before moving to Flushing in 2005, where she resided for the past 17 years. Ursula retired from the Chevrolet Engine Plant after 15 years of service as a Laboratory Supervisor. She was an active member of North Baptist Church and loved quilting, tutoring inner city youths and giving of her time to those in need. Surviving are: her husband of 57 years, Erwin; daughter, Sylvia (Linas) Gilvydis of Sanford; son, Ken (Laura) Kunkel of Clayton, NC; grandchildren, Katrina (Tyler) Sharp of Shields, Alayna Kunkel of Clayton, NC, Austin Kunkel of Clayton, NC, Aiden Kunkel of Clayton, NC, Brandon Kunkel of Linden and Kennedy Kunkel of Linden; great-grandson, Logan Sharp of Shields; sister, Karin Bude of Germany; brother, Eberhard (Uta) Porsch of Germany; and several nieces and nephews.
