Una Fae Bond

February 10, 1913 — October 13, 2004

BOND, Una Fae  Age 91, of Flint, died Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at her residence. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, October 15, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor James Garfield officiating. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the General Baptist Foreign Mission Fund. Mrs. Bond was born February 10, 1913 in Clarkton, MO, the daughter of Chester A. and Etta (Clem) Garrett. She married Wilburn A. Bond and he preceded her in death in February 1989. Mrs. Bond retired from Kresges (now K-Mart) in 1972 after 11 years in sales. She was a member of Faith United General Baptist Church and was active in the missionary society at the church. Surviving are: 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Bill Springer of Swartz Creek; daughter-in-law, Janet Bond; two brothers, Jimmie Garrett and wife, Ione of Linden, Woodrow Garrett of Flint; two sisters, Wilma Baliko of Hale, Sarah Hewitt, of Houghton Lake; brother-in-law, Robert Myers of Flint; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bond was also preceded in death by: daughter, Brenda Byrd; son, Dale Bond; daughter, Paula Springer; brother, Chester Garrett, Jr; and sister, Mary Etta Myers. The family extends a special thank you to Heartland Hospice.
