Tyrus Wallace Clarkson

CLARKSON, Tyrus Wallace - Age 88, of Swartz Creek, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025. Cremation has taken place and no service will be held. Those desiring may make contributions to Boystown.org

Tyrus was born July 13, 1936 in Flint, the son of Roy and Myrtle (Galyer) Clarkson. He was a 1954 graduate of Utley High School in Flint. He married Sharon Lynne Allen September 20, 1958 in Coleman. He had resided in Swartz Creek since 1967 coming from Flint. Tyrus retired in 1996 from G.M.S.P.O after 40 years of service. He was a member of the U.A.W. He enjoyed woodcarving, golfing, Fishing and hunting.

Surviving are: his wife of 66 years, Sharon; children, Bret Clarkson of Lansing, Lori Blankenship of Mesa, AZ and Kyle Clarkson of New York, NY; grandchildren, Benjamin Blankenship (Steven Woodruff) of Virginia and Meghan (Stewart) Craft of Meza, AZ; great granddaughters, Hailey and Delaney; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Doyle Clarkson; and sisters, Royce Meyers, Opal Reasor and Faye Boutell. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
