Trinidad Martin

Trinidad Martin, age 98 of Flint Township, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on  December 9, 2022.  The family will receive guests at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, December 16, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 2316 W. Coldwater Road, Flint,  with visitation at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass.  Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Trinidad to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (www.ologflint.org).

She is survived by her children; Juan Antonio Rodriguez of Flint Twp., Maria (Tony) Smithingell of Flushing, Lola (Mark) Piper of Clio, Martina Ortiz of Flint, Carmen (Jeff) Mowery of Flushing, Kim (Troy) Shepherd of Flint and David Martin of Flint Twp.  Also surviving are many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and extended family.

Trinidad was born on June 15, 1924 in Kyle, Texas to the late Roman and Pas (Gonzales) Duran.  She loved everyone, especially her family.  She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and enjoyed flowers, gardening, traveling, cooking, crocheting (she crocheted blankets for almost every member of her immediate family), making jewelry, western movies, Mexican soap operas and was a proud supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Trinidad cherished time spent with her family, friends and the love of her life; Ken.

Trinidad was preceded in death by her parents.  Sons; Roberto Rodriguez and Lance Corporal Roman Rodriguez.  Grandchildren; Koi Shepherd and Adam Mowery.  Siblings; Aluesion Duran, Gregoria Perez and Audelia Pintar.  Companion; Ken Merrit
