T.R. 'Bob' Beck

BECK, T. R. 'Bob' - Age 79, of Flint, died Sunday, December 10, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Bob was born June 29, 1927 in Detroit the son of Theodore and Louise (Kunert) Beck. He had been a resident of Westland, Fenton and Florida prior to moving to Flint in 2001. He graduated from Great Lakes College. He had been employed by General Motors Chevrolet Division in Livonia for 27 years retiring in 1982. Bob was a Veteran of the US Army and US Navy having served during the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church. He was also a member and former Secretary of the Moose Lodge in Fenton and the Elks in Florida. Surviving are his wife Doris of Flint; 4 daughters, Catherine and husband Wayne Sayre, Diane Beck and husband Mark Thomas, Janet Beck and husband Ray Hart, Karen and husband Rodney Jernigan; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Lou Tribute; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, December 15, 2006 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4133 Calkins Rd. with Pastor Jihad Younes officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30AM until service time. Memorial donations in his memory will be accepted for the Alzheimers Association.
