Tove Ruhstorfer

RUHSTORFER, Tove Joan - age 89, of Fenton, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 22, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, December 6, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery, Bay City. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan now officially “The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan” or to Hampton Manor of Holly “Activity Fund”. Tove was born January 29,1935 in Saint Paul Minnesota, the daughter of Dr. Edward and Florence Skibsted. She was a graduate of T.L. Handy High School in Bay City. Tove married Lawrence Ruhstorfer on August 30, 1952 in Bay City. Tove co-owned and operated Kirby Co. of Flint for 45 years. Tove enjoyed the water whether it be at the beach, on the boat or just relaxing in a chair sipping a coffee while watching the water. Tove was especially active in her younger years of hunting, waterskiing, snow skiing, and motorcycling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving are: Sister, Jeanette LaCourt of Phoenix, AZ, daughter, Terri and husband Kenneth Burt of AuTrain; son, Lawrence Ruhstorfer II and Debra McClintock of Caseville; grandson, Nikolas (Helaina) Burt of Grand Blanc; granddaughter, Kendall (Benjamin) Fladung of Marquette; great-granddaughters, Kaylee 20, Lilyana 8, Averie 6 and Everly 1 also great-grandson, Brenner 4. She had beautiful memories of spending time with all of them. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband and son, Randy.
