Thomas was born on May 17, 1955 at Saginaw General Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan to Thomas Sr.(Barbara) Klauss. He graduated from Powers Catholic High School in 1973 and later from Baker College. Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed with Stellantis where everyone nicknamed him, Tank. He truly enjoyed his job and made so many friends throughout the years. He was a hot coco connoisseur, teller of dad jokes and storytelling family man. Time with family was the utmost important. He frequently attended festivals, craft shows, camped with family and took his dog Pepper for walks. Some of his favorite memories were trips to Mackinaw City, Pokagon State Park in Indiana, and sledding with his children, no matter how "grown up" they might be. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 12186, American Legion Post No. 0225, and IBEW Local 948.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Cathy; his two children, Shane and Shannon; his mother, Barbara Klauss; his siblings, Tim (Courtney), Judy (Jim), Blaine (Jackie), Phil and Jacob (Alicia). He is further survived by many other dear family members and friends too numerous to list. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Sr., his nephew, Matthew and two infant siblings.
