Thomas H. TOWNSEND

TOWNSEND, Thomas H. - Age 90, of Linden, died Thursday, December 4, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Rev. Don Neuville officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday and Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the charity of one's choice. Thomas was born January 6, 1919 in Pontiac, the son of Edmund and Rilla (Sutton) Townsend. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He was married to Leora Ogg on July 12, 1947. Mr. Townsend retired from General Motors in 1986 and was a member of GWRRA Motorcycle Club Chapter K. Surviving are: wife, Leora; children, Thomas (Patricia) Townsend, George Townsend, Kathy Weston, Wilmer (Nancy) Townsend; 22 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
