Stephens, Thomas L. - Age 87, of Burton, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Visitation will be held 2PM-8PM Monday and 10AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. Thomas was born in Flint, Michigan on April 2, 1928 the son of Newton E. and Violet May (Hodge) Stephens. Mr. Stephens married Mary Evelyn (Storum) in Flint, Michigan on January 28, 1961, she preceded him in death on August 26, 2007. Mr. Stephens enjoyed golfing and gardening and proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Buick City Plant 12 with 42 years of service. Surviving are: children, Elizabeth (Mark) Bleicher of Fenton, Thomas (Krista) Stephens of Pinckney, MI; grandchildren, Sean and Brenna Bleicher, Noah and Jonah Stephens; sister, Violet White of Saginaw; sister-in-law, Kay Stephens of Flint; brother-in-law James Moore of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
