Thomas Stamatis

STAMATIS, Thomas G. - Age 75, of Linden, passed away December 27, 2022. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church 2245 E. Baldwin Rd. Grand Blanc. Visitation 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday at Church. Interment 2:00 PM Wednesday at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly. A Celebration of Life for Thomas will be held at a later date. Funeral Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Thomas was born January 18, 1947 in Cleveland, OH, the son of Thomas A. and Pauline (Popachack) Stamatis. Thomas married Sandra L. Heim in Rocky River, OH on June 10, 1977. He graduated from Fairview Park High School in Fairview, OH in 1965. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Cleveland State University. Thomas was a retired Major in the United States Army having served for 28+ years. Thomas was a member of the American Legion Post 119, served as a driver for L.E.S.A., the Livingston Educational Service Association for 9 years, and was a member and past board member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Grand Blanc. Thomas is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Stamatis; children, Thomas C. (Amber R.) Stamatis, Katherine A. (Daniel P.) Stein; grandchildren, Jordan M. Hill, Cameron T. Stamatis, Jeremy N. Stein, Alexa N. Stein and Madison N. Stein. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Elaine Hoeffel, and Connie Collins. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
