Thomas W. Sherrill, Jr.

SHERRILL, Thomas Wilson, Jr. - age 64, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, June 18, 2007 at his residence. Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Gene Geromel, SSC officiating. Visition will be held 5-9 PM Tuesday and 2-5 and 6-9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Disability Network. Thomas was born August 2, 1942 in Pulaski, VA, the son of Thomas Wilson Sherrill and Lena (Shockley) Hundley. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. Thomas married Linda Mary Geyer on February 9, 1963. Thomas retired from General Motors in 1993 after 30 years of sevrice. He was a sports fanatic and loved collecting baseball cards. Thomas was very involved in his sons' sports as a coach and assistant coach. Surviving are: wife, Linda; two sons, Thomas Wilson Sherrill III and wife, Katrina of Higgins Lake, Todd Sherrill and wife, Kelly of Swartz Creek; three grandchildren, Samantha, Keeley and Thomas IV and one on the way, Addyson; step-mother, Lois (Norm) Merrill; two brothers, Phillip Wood and Larry Wood; sister, Susan Sherrill; many nieces and nephews.
