Thomas Shellum

SHELLUM, Thomas George - Age 88, of Fenton, died Sunday, February 10, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Thomas was born January 2, 1920 in St. James, MN the son of Hans and Randena (Nelson) Shellum. He was married to Clatie Marie Palmer on May 4, 1950 in Detroit; she preceded him in death on Janury 25, 1998. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII and was a member of the Fenton VFW. Mr. Shellum was a Sales Manager for Aro Corporation, retiring in 1982. Surviving are: daughter, Barbara and husband Milton Johnson of Fenton; son, Charles Thomas and wife Cheryl Shellum of Clio; son, Randy Gorman of Minnesota; granddaughters, Lisa Glozier of Fenton, Cara Shellum of Ann Arbor; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Don Rodigurez of Waterford; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Arnold, Julian, Henry, Cora, Ingeline, Evelyn, Ester and Ruth; grandson, Charles T. Shellum II in 1999.
