Thomas Michael Prieur

Thomas M. Prieur, of Holly, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at his residence. Family will receive friends at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Michigan on Monday, November 13th, 2023 from 4-7pm, with a visitation at 10am and Funeral Services at 11am on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023. Deacon Ron Kenney will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to assist with funeral expenses, or please donate to a charity of your choice in Tom's name.

Tom was born on July 30, 1952 in Flint, Michigan to the late George and Joyce (Lynch) Prieur. After graduating from St. Mary’s High School in Flint, he attended and graduated from the University of Michigan Flint. He worked for over 22 years and retired from General Motors Corporation, and worked at both Contract Professionals, Inc. (CPI) and Howard Finishing after his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling, Michigan football (Go Blue!) and spending time with his family and friends; Tom was also very generous with his time, spending many weekends at a local soup kitchen, and also volunteering many years for Old Newsboys of Flint; he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

His family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Brookdale Grand Blanc, where he had recently moved and was just getting settled, as well as Genesys Health Clinic in downtown Flint, who had managed his healthcare for many years. 

He is survived by his son, Nicholas (Jerry Toney); sisters Nancy Prieur and MaryAnn (Mark) Carmody; his very special nephew Michael; and many additional nephews, nieces and good friends.
