Thomas Patrick O'Connell

O'CONNELL, Thomas Patrick -- Age 86, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Fostrian Manor, Flushing. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, July 29, 2006 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A rosary will be prayed 7 PM Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the family. Mr. O'Connell was born July 26, 1920 in Bay City the son of Bernard and Margaret (Krzywosinski) O'Connell. He retired from G.M. Truck and Bus in 1982. He was a member of the Flint Association for the Deaf, and the F.A.D. Senior Citizens. He was an avid bowler and Detroit Tigers fan. Surviving are: beloved daughter Diana O'Connell of Swartz Creek; brother Daniel O'Connell and wife Genevieve of Bay City; a niece and a nephew; special friends Rose Jackson, Bernice Whitten and many more special friends from F.A.D. Senior Citizens. Mr. O'Connell was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister Dolores Budnik; and beloved companion Buttons.
