Thomas Nemecek

NEMECEK, Thomas J - age 64, of Crossville, Tennessee, formerly of Durand, Michigan, died, Tuesday, January 28, 2020. A memorial service will take place 3 PM, Friday, February 14, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will take place Friday from 1 PM until the time of the service at 3 PM.

Thomas was born on February 27, 1955 in Flint, the son of John and Ann (Libra) Nemecek. He graduated from Swartz Creek High School, class of 1973. Thomas worked for GM Flint Engine for 30 years before his retirement in 2005. He and Juanita were united in marriage on August 16, 1986 in Durand. Thomas devoted time to his family and friends. In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, and driving through the mountains. His other hobbies included, playing the guitar and working on cars. Thomas was a great example of a man and father to all.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita C Nemecek; two sons, Jeremy and Joanna (Richards) Luchenbill of Swartz Creek, Michigan, and James and Pia (Walton) Nemecek of Mount Pleasant, Michigan; siblings, Ronald Nemecek and Charlene Brady of Golden BC, Canada, Janette (Nemecek) and Steve Cherba of Stevensville, Michigan, Robert Nemecek and Theresa Allen of Swartz Creek Michigan; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
