LAMBERT, Thomas Patrick - age 74, of Fenton, died Friday, February 6, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, February 9, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Fr. Bosco Padamattummal celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-6 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a vigil service will be held 4 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. John Outreach. A luncheon will be held at the Fenton Moose Lodge following the funeral service on Monday. Mr. Lambert was born May 5, 1934 in Chicago, the son of Ira and Veronica Lambert. He retired from Marathon Oil after 30 plus years of service and from Fuel Gas Propane as President after 17 years of service. Mr. Lambert served as the president of the National Propane Gas Association and was a Fenton Township Trustee for many years. He was a very active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, a member of the Hibernian Club and a member of the Fenton Moose Lodge. Mr. Lambert had a love for the community and was very generous with his time and resources in Fenton Twp. Surviving are: wife, Kay of Fenton three sons, William Patrick (Mary Kay Dery) of Durango, CO, Robert Patrick (Leslie McCromb) of Sarasota, FL, Thomas Jerome (Sonia Sturk) of Broomfield, CO; nine grandchildren from his side of the family and seven grandchildren from Kay's family. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald Patrick (Barb) of IL. His first wife, Marilyn June, preceded him in death.
