Thomas L. KUBIK

KUBIK, Thomas L. - age 70, of Burton, passed away at his home peacefully Saturday, June 25, 2011 with his loved ones by his side. Services will be held 12:30 PM Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 5-9 P Monday and 10 am - 2 PM and 4 PM - 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Cystic Fibrosis. Tom was born July 2, 1940 and lived in Flint area all his life. He was married to Jean (Elston) Kubik for 19 years and he retired from AC Spark Plug in 1995. Tom belonged to the Durand Eagles, Croatian Club and Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time at family camping outings, campfires, karaoke and casinos. Surviving are: loving wife, Jean (Elston) Kubik; brother, Fred (Dawn) Kubik; four stepchildren, Rene (Dan) Vanderplancke, Geneen (Luben) Bedelov, Dave (Becky) Elston and Bob (Cindy) Elston. Also surviving are: one aunt, Frances Jablonski; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many very special friends; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and his special dog, Gena.
