Hoeflaak, Thomas Lionel, age 56, of Flint. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. (Just south of Hill Rd.) SSG Matthew McDonald officiating. Following the service, veteran's honors will be performed under the auspices of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243. Visitation will begin at 12PM Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family. Thomas was born May 16, 1949 in Flint, the son of Tom and Evelyn (Biller) Hoeflaak. He graduated from Carman Ainsworth High School in 1967 and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Thomas married Virginia Bailey in Flint on August 8, 1970. He was retired from G.M. Truck and Bus, was a member of the Eagles Club and the Moose Lodge in Silver Springs, FL where he and Virginia had a second home. Surviving are his wife of 35 years Virginia, son, Thomas L. Hoeflaak II of Bloomington, MN; daughter Janet M. McDonald and husband Matthew of Ft. Rucker, AL; grandchildren, Thomas L.Hoeflaak III, Gabrielle Newsome, Logan M. McDonald; Mother Evelyn Hoeflaak of Flint; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Tom Hoeflaak.
