Thomas Donald Herford

HERFORD, Thomas Donald - age 62, of New Lothrop, formerly of Flint, died Friday, February 26, 2010 at his residence. Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM Monday and 10 Am until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Thomas Donald Herford Memorial Fund. Thomas was born July 29, 1947, the son of Gerald A. and Olive (McDowell) Herford. He was a 1965 graduate of Flint Central High School. Thomas was employed by United Road as a car hauler and was a member of the Teamsters. He was a founding member of the 10 Point Club in Rose City MI. Surviving are: wife, Karen; two children, Thomas, Jr of Reno, NV and Tamara Lynn Liebl of Keene, NH; two step-daughters. Lori (Darwin) Hengesbach of Chapel Hill, TN and Lisa Crow of Lawrenceburg, TN; mother of his children, Linda Crane of Swartz Creek; granddaughter, Carter Marie Liebl; step-grandchildren, Whitney, Korisa, Kyleah and Ty; step-great-grandchild, Carter; sister, Roberta (Gary) Hopkins of Lake Fenton; brother, Edward (Jeannie) Herford of Payson, AZ; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Ed Huot of Lake Fenton; sister-in-law, Sally Hanson of Swartz Creek; uncle, Harold Herford of Linden; mother-in-law, Gwen A. Frank of Linden; several nieces and nephews. He LOVED LIFE and all of US. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
