Thomas Manford Haney

HANEY, Thomas Manford - age 78 of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, December 10, 2009. Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Swartz Creek Veterans Memorial. Mr. Haney was born June 7, 1931 in Williford, AR, the son of Thelmer Jefferson and Mabel Georgina (Bettis) Haney. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Haney retired from the Swartz Creek School bus garage. Surviving are: four sons, Thomas M. Haney, Jr. of Gladwin, Robert Haney of AZ, Randy (Carol) Haney of Flushing, Dwayne (Tammy) Haney of Grand Blanc; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; brother, James C. Haney of Blooming, CA; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.
