CASHIN, Thomas James - age 75, of Fenton, died Thursday, December 27, 2007 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 12:30 PM Monday, December 31, 2007 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Rev. Fr. David W. Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 7-9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a scripture service will be held at 4 PM Sunday afternoon. Thomas was born June 23, 1932 in Flint, the son of James and Eleanor (Weaver) Cashin. He was a 1950 graduate of Kearsley High School and was a veteran in the U.S. Army serving from 1953-1955. Thomas married Rosemary Sweers in 1955 in Davison and they have resided in Fenton for 32 years. Thomas worked as a Supervisor for AC Spark Plug and Buick and retired with 38 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Surviving are: wife, Rosemary; five children, Catherine and husband, Garnet Lord of Fenton, Angelique Diemer of Flint, Christopher Cashin of Fenton, Elisa Perry of Fenton, Therese Burton of Fenton; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Jane and husband, Paul Miller of Chicago.
