Bronson, Thomas H. - 75 of Fenton passed away at Fenton Extended Care May 19, 2009 after a long battle with COPD. Memorial Service was held at 4 pm Friday, May 22, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Thomas was born January 29, 1934 in Kewanee, Illinois to Victor Van Hulle and Elizabeth De Keyser as Victor Thomas August Van Hulle. His name was later changed to Thomas Hastings Bronson when his mother remarried to Carlos Bronson and gave birth to his sister Carla. Tom became a licensed architect in the states of Illinois and Missouri where he practiced architecture for many years primarily designing commercial and institutional type buildings. He also enjoyed music, astrology and was an avid amateur artist. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather. He is survived by his younger sister Carla and her husband Donald Heinlein of Illinois, as well as their three children Diane, Tommy, Cherie and their families. He is also survived by his children: Kevin (Linda) of California, Aaron (Lora) of California, Trenton (Anna) of Kansas and their children Chase and Scarlett, Kathy of Illinois and her daughter Victoria, and Elizabeth of Michigan. His ex-wife Harriet survives him in Illinois and his ex-wife and friend Ellen survives him in Virginia. In lieu of flowers please honor Tom's memory with a contribution to the American Lung Association.
