Bowles, Thomas James - Age 69, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Linden and Columbiaville, died March 10, 2020. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, March 15 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 6-9 PM Saturday, and 1 PM until the time of the service Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society or Silver Lake Ski Club, P.O. Box 427 Fenton MI 48430. A service will be announced to be held in Tampa at a later date.
Thomas was born December 1, 1950 in Durand the son of Eldred M. and Thelma L. (Simon) Bowles. He graduated from Linden High School. He married Christina "Tina" Nickola on April 7, 1991. Tom worked for Delphi (AC Spark Plug) retiring in 2004 with 33 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 651. He was a very active member of the Silver Lake Ski Club. Tom loved traveling, lake living and most of all being with his grandkids. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather "Pappou", brother, and son.
Tom had an adventurous spirit and zest for living life. This was evident in his passion for water skiing and hang-gliding in his younger years, and his love of travel and RV living in his retirement years. Tom and Tina most recently spent winters in Florida and summers in Michigan.
Surviving are: his wife of 28 years Tina; his daughters Angela (John) Dyer of Flushing, Kristy (Shawn) Sager of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Hailey and Gabriella Dyer, Amelia, Dominic, and Jameson Sager; sisters, Elaine Sharp of Swartz Creek, Karen (Larry) Gilliam of The Villages FL; brother-in-law, Bruce Hartman; sister-in-law Nicole (Scott) Pistono; brother-in-law, Joseph (Jody) Nickola; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; former wife Diane Breitenbecher; mother-in-law Donna Wilber; former brother-in-law Terry Olson; several cousins; and many dear friends in Michigan and Florida. Honorary pallbearers are Ken Kirkey, Rick Jameson, David McDonald, Robby McDonald, Fernando Guajardo, Bill Polk, and Bill Salgat. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Michelle; his parents; and sister Paula Kay Little Hartman. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
