BAYLISS, Thomas A. - age 89, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Troy, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Genesys Health Park. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions to American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation. Born May 19, 1926 to Frank and Maude (Cole) Bayliss, who immigrated from England. He was a very proud U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II. Mr. Bayliss married Charlott Aebel on July 28, 1947. She is the love of his life. After retirement from General Motors and as a barber, they traveled the United States in a RV for 15 years. He loved golfing with his brothers, bowling and was a championship Horse Shoe player. Surviving are: wife, Charlott; two daughters, Bridgett Patterson (Bill Shaw) of Pinckney, Robin (David) Coleman of Highland; eight grandchildren, Rachel (Jeff) Satkowiak, Patrick Patterson, Donald Patterson, Teresa and Michael Bayliss, JR, Thomas and Andrienia Bayliss; seven great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Hanna Sayles, Caleb Mills, Cole Thomas, Logan Patterson, Kendra and Jacob Satkowiak; sister, Beatrice (Leo) Maki.
