SPENCER, Theodore K. "Ted" - Age 77, of National City, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at St. Mary Hospital in Saginaw. Cremation has taken place according to his wishes. Military Honors will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to Disabled American Veterans. Ted was born June 9, 1932 in Harrisville, MI, the son of Irving and Hazel Spencer. He was a 1950 graduate of Dye High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was married to Phyllis Worley, who preceded him in death in 1987. He then married Mary Clippard on October 13, 1990. Ted was a longtime employee of Consumers Power and following his retirement he moved to National City. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Mary Clippard Spencer; sons, Scott Spencer and Mitchell Spencer; brother Irving Spencer Jr; brother-in-law, Don (Sharon) Worley; step-children, Amy (Franco) Perez, Susan (Reiner) Herrmann, Thomas (Carol) Clippard; grandchildren, Melanie (Brandon) Cantley, Jeremiah Spencer, Amanda Spencer, Justin Spencer; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Ashlee and Adam; a host of nieces and nephews; many dear neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Arnold Spencer.
