HIMELHOCH, Theodore Samuel - age 93, of Miami, FL, formerly of Flint, MI, passed away January 18, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, January 19, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Mr. Leonard Meizlish officiating. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Flint. A Minyon service will be held 6 PM Saturday night in the Leonard Meizlish Chapel at Congregation Beth Israel / Temple Beth El, 5150 Calkins Rd, Flint Twp, MI 48532. He was a long time resident of Flint, MI and a member of Congregation Beth Israel. Ted attended University of Michigan but left to fulfill several entrepreneurial endeavors. Ted served as a corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War. Later Ted co-founded Watkins & Himelhoch and supplied the state of Michigan with quality concrete products for over 49 years. Ted supported and was a member of various Jewish organizations. He was pre-deceased by his loving parents, Anna and Isadore, and sister Betty Backhaut. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia "Pat" Himelhoch, children; Jennifer (Mark) Pralgo, Jackie Himelhoch (Jason Papastavrou) and Joel (Gabi) Himelhoch and grandchild Hunter Himelhoch. He will be long remembered as a mentor, exemplary role model, dedicated husband and father, for his business savvy, sound advice, thoughtful lectures and possessing the kindest heart.
